Presley Paras is a Los Angeles-based writer, director, and IATSE cinematographer. An MTVu-nominated and VEVO-featured music video director, his work spans narrative film, television, and branded content. His experience includes operating cameras on projects such as The League, Project Greenlight, and Avatar Fire and Ash, grounding his writing in practical production reality.
His short film A Sweet Tooth earned multiple jury awards on the festival circuit. His earlier short Buffalo and Trout was praised by LongLivetheVoid.com, Horrorbuzz.com, and NightmarishConjurings.com, with Downright Creepy naming it one of their top ten genre shorts. His slasher short QUAD was acquired by Hulu and distributed by Gravitas Ventures as part of the Fun Size Horror series.
Paras writes to fill a gap he observed in Filipino American representation, focusing on the shadows of immigrant families, unassuming towns, and the spaces where identity collides with violence, grief, and survival. He is currently developing his debut feature.
